Q: How
does PINPOINT'S Customer Retention &
Notification System work?
A: A customized communications unit
is...
installed in every
vehicle sold by your dealership within your
marketing (service) area. This device is simply
plugged into the OBD port of vehicle and takes
seconds to install. The unit and vehicle information
is entered into a personalized web page accessed
and maintained by your dealership. The system
will notify your dealership and the driver by
phone or online when a PINPOINT protected
vehicle generates any type of trouble code,
as well as when the vehicle has reached certain
mileage intervals requiring service.
Your staff will receive
an email notification that details the type
of code or mileage interval, customer name and
vehicle information. This instant link allows
your service department to contact the vehicle
owner to offer assistance or make an appointment
exactly
at the time when it is needed most.

to locate your missing vehicle. Of course, if
you determine that your vehicle has been stolen,
by locating your vehicle before you contact
a law enforcement agency, you may quicken the
recovery process. Law enforcement is more likely
to start the recovery process as soon as you
contact them if you supply them an exact location
of your vehicle.

Q:
Is PINPOINT more reliable than
other systems?
A: How many times...
have you experienced
dropped calls or no coverage with your cellular
phone? Why do doctors still use pagers
even though they have cellular phones? The answer
is that cellular technology is not as reliable
as you might believe. Congestion, coverage limitations
and other side effects that impact cellular
phone users can also create reliability problems
for wireless tracking and communication systems
that use the technology. PINPOINT does
not use cellular technology to transmit information
in the system. With PINPOINTs communication
system, reliability is maximized, not compromised.

LoJack® and Onstar® end, providing an
